First meow

The first posting for this princess turned Lost Kitty.
A brief introduction is in order I do believe. This blog is meant not only to tell the story of this Lost Kitty and her journey through life but as a therapeutic tool as well. The chronological order may not always be correct but I believe it will eventually work itself out.  For obvious reasons, the kitten’s names have been changed. The eldest will be referred to as Sabbath, the middle as Mystery, the youngest as Miles and the complicated companion will be referred to as Neechee. I am hoping this might help others who are lost as well and perhaps give them some feeling of being less alone. I’m not the only Lost Kitty out there.
Currently, Kitty is going through a transitional phase. There are many changes and stresses in this life currently. As of today, Kitty is currently on a journey of self discovery, as it were. Kitty and Neechee have been experiencing some separation for a few weeks now. The kittens seem to be somewhat adjusting to this but transitions and changes are difficult for them as they are for anyone else.  Kitty is finding it difficult even though it is the right thing to do for her and her kittens right now. Sometimes the right thing to do is the most difficult to accomplish. During this separation, Kitty has had to find a new place to raise her kittens. She has successfully found that place but now has the stress of the move coming in a few short weeks and not enough of the house packed up yet. This move is also displacing a few house guests as well. Kitty is unable to help herself when it comes to worrying about others. First, the kittens. Then the complicated companion. After that, the rest of the immediate and extended family. After that, she worries about the house guests. Then she worries about her furry companions. Then a bunch of other crap. And eventually she gets around to worrying about herself. Eventually she begins to worry about her own feelings, how she’s handling the stress of being forced out of her home of almost four years, the feelings of companion separation, having to work again after being laid off and given the opportunity to spend time focusing on her kittens, and starting her studies all over again.
This Lost Kitty is just trying to find her way back home again. Be independent. Find herself so she can be a strong Kitty again and no longer lost. This journey will never be an easy one. She will not always have someone there holding her hand or have another kitty to cuddle with or cry with. Some days will be easier than others. Some days she will be all alone and left to her own devices. We will journey through these rough times together, dearest readers and hopefully…eventually…this Lost Kitty will come out on top of that fence to once again bask in the light of the full moon.
Meow.
